Se presentó en Brasil la versión pseudo off-road de la pick-up basada en el Gol Trend. Llegaría a la Argentina antes de fin de año.
Volkswagen presentó en Brasil la nueva versión Cross de la Saveiro. La pick-up del segmento chico llega con una estética aventurera más reforzada que la Trooper (versión que no arribó a la Argentina, aunque sí lo haría esta Cross antes de fin de año). Como no podía ser de otra manera, la mira está puesta en la Fiat Strada Adventure.
El primer tiro de la VW en Brasil corre por cuenta del precio del modelo básico, que sin opcionales es un 10% más barato que el de su rival. Sin embargo, la Saveiro Cross se ofrece sin aire acondicionado de serie, mientras que la Strada Adventure sí lo incluye.
En las versiones full (que en ambos casos incluye doble airbag y frenos ABS) la diferencia en precio a favor de la pick-up de Volkswagen sigue siendo de un 5%, siempre hablando del mercado brasileño. Otra diferencia a favor de la Saveiro es que incluye el volante multifunción del nuevo Fox.
La Fiat Strada, en cambio, se diferencia por ofrecer como opción el sistema de bloqueo electrónico de diferencial (Locker) y la variante con cabina doble para cuatro pasajeros.
Entre los detalles exclusivos de la Cross se destacan los guardabarros ensanchados en goma negra, las llantas de aleación con neumáticos de uso mixto Pirelli Scorpion (205/60R15) y una barra sobre la caja de nuevo diseño.
La Saveiro Cross tiene el mismo despeje de la Trooper (18,1 centímetros), pero pesa más (1.074 kilos contra 1.035) a causa del equipamiento extra. Por dentro, tiene butacas con el mismo tapizado del nuevo CrossFox, además de empuñadura en la palanca de cambios con la inscripción “Cross”.
El mes que viene, la oferta de las camionetas chicas en Brasil se ampliará con la llegada de la nueva Peugeot 207 Pick-up. Este modelo, sin embargo, todavía no está confirmado que llegue a la Argentina.
