
Ayer al medio día mientras anunciaba una inversión de 10 millones de pesos para ampliar la capacidad de producción del Chevrolet Agile, Sergio Rocha, presidente de GM Argentina, confirmo la llegada del Chevrolet Cruze como tope de gama para octubre.

Según propias palabras de Rocha el modelo viene a “reforzar la imagen” de la marca. El Chevrolet Cruze vendrá de Corea del Sur y, al igual que la Chevrolet Captiva, tendrá un acabado de mayor calidad que el que nos tiene acostumbrado el mercosur.
El primer modelo realmente global de Chevrolet fue desarrollado en la casa de Opel en Alemania y en Corea del Sur, fue pensado para venderse en todo el mundo incluyendo los Estados Unidos y ya es un éxito superando las 340.000 unidades vendidas en más de 60 países.
Si bien no hubo especificaciones sobre equipamiento y motorizaciones lo mas probable es que se comercialice en sus versiones más completas para no solaparse con el Chevrolet Vectra. Esto quiere decir que lo veremos con dos motorizaciones, un naftero 1.8 de 141/138CV y un diesel 2.0 de 150CV, el mismo que la Chevrolet Captiva, acoplados a una caja manual o automática de 6 velocidades y con gran equipamiento con lo que tiene que ver con seguridad, 6 o 10 Airbags, distribución electrónica de frenado, ABS y control de estabilidad con los que obtuvo la máxima de 5 estrellas en la EuroNCap.

En cuanto al precio tampoco hubo detalles, pero analizando y comparando linealmente con la Chevrolet Captiva, aunque sabemos que esto nunca se cumple, se puede estimar que estará entre los $98.000 y $118.000 según las versiones.
EL Cruze competirá con el VW Vento, el Honda Civic, Toyota Corolla, Ford Focus entre otros.
